The Importance of Identity Protection!

Well I must admit, the identity threat has come to me and I am so grateful to have IDShield for my protection. On today July 17, 2015 I went into a very well known retail establishment and lost my wallet containing all of my personal information such as credit and debit cards, and other personal documents and information. Fortunate enough nothing was in my wallet which contained my social security number but within less than an hour after I discovered my wallet was missing I immediately called my IDShield provider. Keep in mind this is a Sunday and I used the emergency number to make that call. Once connected with a person at IDShield I was told they would call the three credit bureaus for me and inform them that my wallet was lost and for 90 days if anyone attempted to use my identity or credit cards I would be contacted by that bureau. Then I spoke with an Identity Theft counselor and she instructed me on what to do next. Of course, the first thing I was told to do was to cancel all of my cards with the respective financial institutions along with some other advice she shared with me.

I feel much better now knowing I am protected by IDShield and if anything happens unusual with my financial situation in the near future I will be alerted by IDShield. Thank God for identity theft protection. If you aren't protected this is certainly the time to do so.
